IPL Skin Treatments -

How does IPL work?

A specially designed hand piece will be applied to your skin. The equipment will generate an intense pulse of light which will be absorbed by specific targets in your skin.  The light from the hand piece is delivered at high intensity during a very short period of time. It is this rapid discharge of light that provides the high energy levels required for each IPL treatment to be effective.

Acne Management

Acne Vulgaris (or acne) is a common skin disease, characterised by scaly red skin, blackheads and whiteheads, pinheads, pimples, nodules and possibly scarring. Acne generally affects the face, upper part of the chest, and the back. While severe acne is inflammatory, acne can also manifest in non-inflammatory forms. Acne often occurs during adolescence, and continues into adulthood. During adolescence, acne is generally caused by an increase in testosterone. Although acne diminishes over time, some people have to cope with this condition even in their thirties, forties and beyond.

IPL acne management targets acne-prone skin to minimize acne bacteria, breakouts and inflammation for a clearer, more balanced and healthier looking complexion.

Photo Rejuvenation

Long-term exposure to the sun reduces the production of collagen, which in turn causes severe damage to the skin making it wrinkled, coarse and looking red.  Skin rejuvenation treatments will significantly improve skin tone and texture and refresh the skin by increasing the production of collagen.  Photorejuvenation or Photofacial is a procedure that treats sun-damaged skin as well as other common skin issues using broad-spectrum light technology. In this process, Intense-pulsed light (IPL) and Light-Emitting Diode (LED) technology penetrates deep within the skin, stimulating dormant cells and encouraging collagen production. An effective treatment for acne, Rosacea and  Hyperpigmentation, Photo Rejuvenation treatments are non-invasive, have minimal side effects and require no recovery time.
